Can someone look at my stats and help please

Iv'e been with sky for quite some time now and to start with kept having disconnection problems then put in a new extension and was connected at 4.2Mb for about 4 maybe 5 months with no problems whatsoever.

Then my news server had some problems with their SSL server and I have had to switch to the non encrypted one.

Now I'm not sure if this is anything to do with it but since then I can connect for a few hours at 4.2 then it disconnects (my router says connected but I cant open any web pages) I reboot the router and get 3.9 if i'm lucky.

Had to reboot 3 times yesterday and ended up on 2.4Mb.

I havnt tested the master socket (old style without the test) as my pc doesnt have wireless but I will try it from my phone (P1i wireless built in) tomorrow. In the mean time could you look at my current stats and tell me if theirs anything wrong.

Thanks in advance for any help

I am not sure about this, as I have no idea how usenet works but if it is the same as torrent and P2P, then you may be exceeding your permitted connections. Have a look at THIS article, it may help if you apply the patch. Read the article full and the comments, before you decide to do anything.

you shouldn't be on ADSL2+ with your connection - you'd benefit from being on gdmt...it's no wonder you've been having disconnection issues

It says ADSL2 no +. You don't see this very often, another router bug?

I'm on MAX but shouldn't I be or is the ADSL2+ thing different from that?

What was meant was, that your line is not good enough to sustain ADSL2+, which requires a very good line to operate properly. G.DMT will give you a better more stable connection.

What sort of speeds are possible on G.DMT? Will I still get up to 4.5MB or will it be capped at 2MB?

gdmt is used for Base/Mid and also for Max lines not good enough for ADSL2+

Sky G.DMT is good for up to 8Mb, so you will not loose out much on speed, but what you do get will be more stable.
