      white router & its lights

      cannot get any wireless. just noticed the wireless light is not lit on the router, have tried rebooting, checked that wireless is enabled in the router settings and even powering down, does anybody think that the router could be knackerd.

      sounds like it - does ur wireless on the PC 'see' it?

      thanks for your reply,
      no (thats from my 2 laptops) it did used to work when it wanted. even phoned technical thurs nite, re the main connection dropping out, they cut my connection from 15.5mb to 8mb and said this should sort out the problem.. which it didnt, ive followed the site and unchecked the upmp box and i think that has sorted the connection problem.
      So it looks like another phone call to 1)tell them to increase my speed back to its original state and 2)to replace the router as it is not transmitting wirelessly.

      that'll do it hopefully. was it a wireless issue that they capped you down or the router losing sync? have you got it set up in the master/test socket?

      see the link on my sig about router stats and post ur 'detailed stats' and im sure everyone on here can advise you
