Re: Crackly line can BT/Sky Talk do anything

I have been wondering about this. I am considering changing my rental to Sky, as with free caller display, it is a good bit cheaper than BT. Do Sky have their own phone line engineers, or would it be a case of reporting a fault then waiting Sky's usual 5 working days before anything is done? Would they just sub contract BT to do repairs? Anyone know what Sky's basic callout charge is?

I might be wrong but I think if there is a fault on the line Sky report it to BT as I very much doubt they have their own engineers.

Personally I wouldn't go to Sky for my line rental for this very reason. At least me being with BT means I can report the fault directly to them (and I have done this year), and not have to hope that Sky actually do report it.

If Sky has taken over the line your supposed to report any faults via them and they will inform BT.

If you miss out Sky then BT will charge you direct for the engineers visit and not Sky.
