low sync speed any point complaining

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 1152 kbps 736 kbps
Line Attenuation 63.5 db 31.5 db
Noise Margin 8.6 db 7.0 db

The connection speed has been this since about 3 days after finally getting connected. Before I moved the connection speed would vary. I thik Sky are capping it but, although not much of a difference, can I ask them to remove the cap or not.

      Cheers

No point with your current connection. If you are capped then it is only slightly. Were your noise margin far higher then there would be more scope but not much.

If you were able to improve your connection (see the cabling and faceplate forum) then your attenuation might support a tiny bit more speed but at 63.5db you really are close to the limit (long line) for a stable ADSL connection.

BTW please edit your Skyuser profile. You appear to be on Max.

I am on MAX! Thats what I was on before I moved

What is the benefit of gmdt? How do I tell if I am on ADSL2?

      Cheers

Re: low sync speed any point complaining

see the link in my sig on how to get ur router stats and it'll have instructions on getting the 'detailed stats' it'll say at the top of the stats the mode you're in but if you're on ADSL2+ then you want to be off it as gdmt is a lot better for lines with the length you apparently have...
