      Sky Message On Phone

      Hi I rang up Sky 2 days ago to remove the cap from my line, I went through some simple questions with Tier 1 to create a ticket to get transferred to Tier 3. I got transferred to Tier 3 and they said they wouldnt remove the cap for one reason or another.

      Today I came home and I had a message on my landline - 1571 service from a mobile number, it was read out as a text message sent to a landline. It said something like "This is a message from SKy broadband, your line has been stabalised. If you have any more problems ring Sky Tech support on <Sky broadband number>". What does this message mean? Is it just a standard thing now from Sky? Anyone else had this?

      if a line has been fixed then txts are being sent out if they cant get you on the phone...

      What do you mean by fixed? Because as you can see in my case nothing has been done.

      well, what do ur stats show as you've not exactly explained the full story...

      why were u capped previously?

      also, for future reference, if errors form on the line - a cap will not be removed until the line is stable ur end
