anyone knows how to cap the speed?

hi, i've got the sky connect for several days, the connection is strong but the download speed is so so so slow! usually it's under 10 kbps and the best speed i ve get is 30 kbps. Moreover, the connection keeps dying for each 30 seconds.
      here is my router state,

at the first time it's good :
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8128 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 22 db 5.5 db
Noise Margin 7 db 26 db

and after 20 seconds it changes to:
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 0 kbps 0 kbps
Line Attenuation 22 db 5.5 db
Noise Margin 2147483643 db 26 db

      and then:
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 0 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 0 db 5.5 db
Noise Margin 0 db 26 db

i guess it's the wire cause the problem, because when i checked the availability before i choosing SKY, the salesman told me i can only get a max 6MB download speed, and yesterday when i changed the microfilter to a BT's product, the download speed which the router shows is 60XX KBPS and it's never dead, however, the download speed still slow.but unfortunately i reboot the router this morning and the connection dying again.

so, does anyone knows how to cap the speed or have any suggestions?
      many thanks in advance.

there's a 10 day bedding in period with Connect so might be worth while waiting a bit and see if it settles down...

tbh, looking at it when it syncs properly i wouldn't be surprised if it goes stable at around 8mbps sync so just gotta ride it out. i would say that perhaps running it in the test socket (if you have one) would get the ip profile set as high as possible but just see how it goes
