      Sky Google Hell

Can anyone please help - I am at my wits end. Since Sky decided to migrate to google I have been unable to send/receive e-mails. This has been more than the 5 days they say it takes to migrate. I know what the problem is - my user name and password is not recognised by the google UnlockCaptha yet it is recognised when I log into MySky account. I have phoned Sky more times than I can remember and all I get is some automoton who appears to be reading from a pre-prepared script eg "we are very sorry you are having this problem" or "I appreciate how frustrated you must be" etc etc
I have tried changing my password ( 3 times) but this does not work. I dont know what to try next and am unable to get hold of anyone at Sky who is capable of thinking for themselves
Any advice would be greatly appreciated (other than move from Sky as I have just started a 12 month contract!)

Give it up as a bad job and open a normal gmail account.
You can always forward the Goosky mails when they sort it out.

Look through the 'Stickies' in THIS Section. It is a bit difficult to set up, but once done, it works well. There is one point where you must use your full username,ie user@sky.com, which can cause problems.

It would probably be better if the Mods moved this to the Email section where you are liabe to be given help, rather than just be told to give up.

also worth mentioning that there are a LOT of issues with the email at the mo and Sky are on to Google to get it resolved.....for instance, changing a password can take days to actually register on all systems, so don't keep changing it repeatedly or it'll take months!!!

      Hi I.A.N.T.E.

You seem to be in the know on Sky's inability to deal with this monumental migration c**k up. Sky "lost" my main e-mail account in the 7 November migration. I have had three long phone calls to the Customer Call Centre and no solution to my problem or any idea of when a "resolution" will be achieved. My problem was passed to the "escalation team" last Monday and I called again yesterday. No news, just "be patient". They have already told me that my account is "corrupt" but the "new media team" are working on it. In none of my conversations was the password changing problem mentioned - during these endurance phone calls my various passwords for my 3 e-mail accounts have been changed several times - so I guess from your post that I have little chance of getting these accounts back. Am I to understand from your post that Sky are waiting on Google to sort out their mess....? I'm contracted to Sky not Google?

Also, what is "Tier 3"? Do they know any more than Tiers 1 + 2 who, though friendly and very chatty (usual 0870 money-making scam) give me absolutely no confidence that they could actually achieve anything.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
