losing net connection

hi all

i keep losing my web connection a few times a day, even trying to connect to the sky router (192.168.0.1) doesnt work. I`m having to reboot the PC to regain a network connection.

Any ideas what could be wrong? I`m connecting to Sky Max and running windows vista btw.

thanks
Paul

Re: losing net connection

ok thanks heres the stats, these ok?

Connection Speed 8096 kbps 768 kbps
Line Attenuation 32.0 db 19.5 db
Noise Margin 10.6 db 13.0 db

I`m using a wired connection to the router (sky netgear). Like I say, I cant even access the router when I loose the web access. so it seems like its a windows network problem, but i`m no expert.

thanks

paul

Re: losing net connection

those stats look ok, but are the basic ones (click on 'get detailed stats')....could be a faulty router tho...

Re: losing net connection

Hi

Yes tried turning of uPNP last week and still have the same problem.

I have noticed that utorrent still runs fine when this problem occurs, all web , ftp access and access to the router no longer works though.
Rebooting is the only thing that works, i`ve tried windows vista repairing the connection and that doesnt do anything.

any other ideas?

Paul
