      Re: Is this speed right

have a look at the cabling and face plate forum, with your attenuation you should be syncing at around 4.5 meg
most common cause for low sync is the use of extension leads/socket

      Re: Is this speed right

Ahh, Its not my PC, It doesnt work on the Mac, But it works on both via a proxy.. Strange..

Anyway, Sorry Rev-Host for taking your thread offtopic.

      As for your rapidshare download,

Your connecting at 2112Kb which means you can potentially download at 264kB, But allowing network/server/congestion overheads, 250kB is about right.

But you should be able to squeeze about 4Mb out of that line [Based on SkyUser - ADSL2 Line Speed Checker - upto 24mb ]
If you have time and could do with the speed increase, With a few tweaks you might be able to get a higher sync/connection rate.

Mognuts Utility - From that link, Could you post the Detailed Connection Stats, But if you have only just reconnected (WAN Uptime less then 20Mins, You might want to leave it for an hour or so and download a few files before you do), Then post the stats here.

Also, How are you connecting the router to the BT line, Through the master socket or an extension?
