      A Stupid Question but....

No doubt this is a stupid question, but can someone confirm what appears to be obvious, and that is that with Sky you do not get any web space.

When I signed up about a year ago, I cant remember seeing anything about it and still cant find anything, so I am sure they just don't give you any web space. I was not bothered before but now would like some web space to create a site. I was with f2s before and know they gave you web space so was a bit surprised Sky did not.

If as I suspect you don't get any, does anyone know if there are any plans for it in the future?

      Many thanks in advance.

      Tony

      Hi Tony

      No webspace on Sky.

You can buy your own and a domain for under 20.00 per year.

      Re: A Stupid Question but....

Webspace would increase the overall cost for Sky which would mean prices would have to increase for customers. Sky is looking to offer their service as cheap as possible for an obvious reason.

      Hi NewsreadeR,

Many thanks for the info, really appreciate that.

I will have a good look at the 123 site and also do the domain hosting search and see what I come up with.

      Many thanks once again.

      Cheers!

      Re: A Stupid Question but....

If anyone is interested... A number of years ago I used a company called webmania for my hosting. They have just this minute emailed me with a promo code to try and get me back... I have completely outgrown their package now so it's on no use to me...

But anyone else is welcome to use it...

      Www.web-mania.com promo code: NOV15D

Normal yearly rate is 24.99+VAT this code knocks off 15. That'll get you 1GB of space, 12GB of transfer, hosting of five domains and unlimited email addresses. Domains can be bought, but might be cheaper elsewhere.

Like I said, its been years since I used them, so they might be terrible now. Might be worth a punt.

      Re: A Stupid Question but....

I don't have any personal information but I have found out through another forum that 123 may be having difficulties and several sites they host are unobtainable this morning. There is also a site dedicated to 123 problems, which can be found HERE

Please note that this is not an anti-123 post, it is purely for information.
