      new router or old?

i'd assume it means no connectivity but not 100% - if its the white router look on netgear's site

ok 1st off are you still able to connect to the internet via the router because i believe that to be loss of internet connectivity.

I think its the speed that the router is syncing with your network card, green 100mbps, orange 10mbps. Should really be green with most network cards, try updating the cards drivers.

I don't think the router has red LEDs. Do you mean amber?

If so, and you are referring to the ethernet port lights, then this means that the router is connecting to any device plugged into it at 10Mbps. Green means 100Mbps.

If you mean the WAN (internet) light is amber then this means your router isn't able to sync properly with the exchange.
