i'm not sure what you are trying to do, sky do not do fastpath, if you needed to see if your pings would improve then getting your max delays reduced could help, but could cause problems on your line, if they have amended your max delays and now connection is rubbish just phone them up and ask to have it changed back ?

Re: Dont Get Max Delays Changed!

sorry I read the original post on the home page and thought it was changing from Interleaving to FAST ( which i was on before ) so i e-mailed to get this done and turns out it was to change max delays, my pings are now worse! and speed is terrible, I have asked for it to be changed back but no-one wants to help...

Re: Dont Get Max Delays Changed!

it might be easier to give them a ring tonight (around 11ish) advise teir1 you have had your max delays reduced but you would like them put back, if they cannot put you through to teir 3 ask for the ticket number and ring back a little later (will be easier to get through to teir 3 next time with a ticket number and you will not have to go all through the problem with teir 1 again)

P.S i think what sometimes happens when tickets are raised, sky sometimes just cap you and if they do not hear back will think that has solved your problems (not sure this has happened to you) but if you have the ticket number from before that may help get through to t3)

Re: Dont Get Max Delays Changed!

I had a similar issue with max delays, just demand to be put through to tier 3 by saying you have a ticket number and they will sort it out. It helps if you have the router stats page open while you are on the phone with them, so you can confirm with them the speeds you are syncing at.

If you have had a Ticket Open for 5 Days, Tier 1 should be able to see this on their screens and obviously can also tell that no notes have been placed in reference to this and should put you through to Tier 3.

Once on to Tier 3, Liek Mentioned, Keep your Status Page open, Obviously, Only accept the changes when you are happy.
