      Moving House advice

I am likely to be moving house in early 2008 and am wanting to take Sky Broadband to my new property.- A couple of miles away, but actually nearer to exchange !!?

What is the process to follow?

Will I be able to automatically make change or might it mean suspending/stopping service and then resubmitting new application?

Might there be a problem with exchange capacity if it's the latter?

      House as BT line

Advice and suggestions how to make process seamless (hopefully) would be apreciated.

      Thanks
      Andrew

You need to ring up 15 days before and tell them you're moving home. You'll then lose the internet around 10 days later and it should clear off Sky's systems. Once your BT line has been activated at your new address for 5 working days, you'll need to ring up and ask them to reprovision the line, which will take a further 10 days. You're likely to be offline for around a month.

Possibly - if your local exchange is sold out, then you would have to pay 17 or 5pm for connect, theres no way to take your port with you, or discount it. At the moment, your exchange still has capacity though.

Hope this helps, unfortunately, it can be quite a messy process, but the above is the easiest way to get it done. Also, please change your phone number, it stops some problems
