Thinking of moving Broadband to Sky from AOL due to cost

Have been with AOL since starting out on Broadband about 2 years ago.

Have Sky TV already so considering switching from AOL Silver 14.99 monthly to either Base or Mid package.

Postcode search says its available from my exchange.

Is it possible to run both alongside so I can see how reliable Sky is before severing AOL connection?

If all goes well and I do switch permenantly later what happens to EMails. I can tell my regular contacts my new EMail address but what about those irregular ones. e.g. on line applications for renewable products, say car insurance? Can they be re-routed somehow?

      Any guidance would be appreciated

Unfortunately your only able to run one adsl service at any one time

If all goes well and I do switch permenantly later what happens to EMails. I am not sure if you would still be able to keep access with AOL, you could always transfer them to your new sky accountI can tell my regular contacts my new EMail address but what about those irregular ones. e.g. on line applications for renewable products, say car insurance? Those irregular ones, could you not login to the sites or provide them with the updated address, if you can keep access to the old account this is N/A

      Any guidance would be appreciated

Hope i have answered your questions above

You can keep your AOL email account and continue to use it. You do not have to be an AOL subscriber to use their email. It is now open to anybody.

Was with AOL and now with TalkTalk since early September.

I've been with Sky for 12 months now and completely happy no problems at all. Sky customer service may not be the best if you do have problems but AOL is over priced!

Don't join Sky. You'll slow down my 16mb internetz.

Re: Thinking of moving Broadband to Sky from AOL due to cost

Hi I've been with sky for 12 months was with AOL for i think 8 years from dial up to broadband wanted 8mb line and aol would not match offer sky was giving and moved.

BUT my mother is still with AOL and they offered her which she took on my advice an 8mb line plus free evening weekend calls for 17.99 a month.

I'm just waiting for the first isp to put LLU in exchange then will move to them but I've had no problems with sky
