      router help

      Hi all
      need some advice here
      ive got the sky router but using netgear own firmware
      and having trouble
      i have a pc wired from the router(working fine) and a laptop via wireless using the netgear wg111T also working fine apart from when we both go online gameing after around 5 mins the laptop just logs off the network and mine still works for another 2-5 mins then also i loose my connection any idea on a fix as we both want to play online at the same time?

      firstly - forget wireless gaming. it'll only lead to headaches in the long run...

      secondly - have you turned off UPnP on the router? this is known to cause drop outs wirelessly...

      thirdly - does the router actually lose sync (internet light go out)?

      fourthly - are you running off an extention, be it lead or socket?
