      This is going to be a pain, but you are going to have to take your computer and router to the master soccket (and use the test socket) this will confirm your home wiring is the problem

      you could just take the router to the socket and try wireless but as you may have read other posts on this forum, wireless is a bit pap

      also have a look at the cabling and face plate thread to see if that helps (gives details about the orange ring wire, which is not needed. when disconected from all sockets this can improve your line)

      let me know how you get on

      (your internal wiring is acting like an arial and picking up interference, this interference is causing the errors on your line)

      Just a quick update. I moved the router down to the master socket and tried it with one of our lappies but there was hardly any improvement.

      I just rang sky and they said i have to remove my extension cable first then try it in the master socket then if that works i will have to run a network cable up to my PC.

      Hopefully this does the trick.

      They also said that theres no reason i cant get between 8-16mb because on their systems it shows that i should be recieving that.

      To get a true reflection you will have to plug in to your Test socket, bypassing your extensions.
