      Enabled Exchanges

Just a small question from someone whose knowledge of Broadband could be written on a pin head, and still leave room for the Encylopaedia Brittanica.
I am connected to a Satellite Exchange off Bolton Central (Astley Bridge), on checking in the Exchange List, I see that Bolton Central has four ISP's enabled for Broadband, Be, Bulldog, Tiscali and Easynet.
Astley Bridge exchange has none of these enabled, and does not show any dates when they are to be enabled, but two RFS for Carphone Warehouse and Bulldog, I presume this means I can't have Sky Broadband, and yet, if I check with Orange and AOL, they both tell me I can!!, mi piggin eads going round....how come I can receive Broadband from Orange and AOL, yet Sky tell me they are not in my area yet....

      Hi

Because they all have their own kit in the exchange unfortunately apart from Sky / Easynet

      Welcome to the site John

You are still able to have SkyBB but you will only be able to get the Connect package and if they ever do put Easynet in your exchange you would then be able to get the Max product.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      Question

From reading into what you say Wheelie "If they ever put Easynet into the Exchange" I can have Sky Max, The Exchange is not 'out in the sticks', it is in quite a large residential area, but am I wasting my time waiting for Sky?, and may as well sign up with another Broadband ISP, I am on 24/7 dial up but aching to go onto Broadband, my phone will have been engaged a lot today!!, I have re-registered today, and received an e-mail from Sky saying Broadband will be available shortly, what is their interpretation of "shortly"?

      Unhappy

Ta very much for the information, I think I will sign up for AOLs' Silver Packaage and have done, bit annoyed with Sky though, telling me I would be contacted early August, and still nothing in the middle of September, probably should have realised after the mess they made changing us over from BSB to Sky TV..
