    Help it's driving me mad

    This is a discussion on Help it's driving me mad within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; I would appreicate any help that may be given. Have had sky BB for a coulple of weeks that works ...

      Help it's driving me mad

      I would appreicate any help that may be given.

      Have had sky BB for a coulple of weeks that works ok but the e-mail service is just doing my head in got logged in ok to start informed all my freinds and the people who want money now and then like the electricty and phone
      but today I am being told there is a 502 proxy error what the hell does this mean, I am a complete novice so any help would be gr8

      Where are you getting this error? Outlook? Or are you using the google web based email?

      Afer I have entered my user name and password to log into sky tools it let's me in but when I click to check mail that is when the error meaasge apears

      Hmm well its working fine here, so it cant be a sky problem.. try checking mail via outlook?

      I just checked via the Sky site and got the same error. Lucky I have no intention of using Sky's email.

      I can get logged in to my Sky mail without seeing an errors, nice and fast it is to.

      …presumably because you're the only one who can log in!

      I can't access the webmail service at all. It's looks like the system that checks your username and password is causing the error message. And it all looks very different too. Maybe they're revamping the site but have messed it up.

      Cheers guys I hope it is just an error at sky will try again 2moro thankfully I don't have anything inportant to send, Just a quick question though I am able to download my sky e-mail via pop but can't send, any ideas?

      With the new mail system, you have to set up your mail program so that it uses a username and password when sending outgoing mail.

      This is different from the way it was with the old mail system, which would let you send an outgoing message without a username or password provided you were on the Sky Broadband network.
