      Will it work ?

      Hi,

      I am most likely going to be getting Sky Broadband next month and would like to know if it will work on windows 98 (second edition) ?

      yes mate i cant see a problem are you connecting via wireless or ethernet
      if it ether net make sure you right click on internet explorer and go to properties left click and then go to connections and then down to lan setting and make sure you enable automatically detect settings i cant see a problem

      The CD that comes with the router won't work on Windows 98, but don't be worried about that, you don't need to use the CD to use the Sky broadband connection. In fact a lot of people actually recommend you don't use the CD because all it does is install anti-virus software (which presumably you already have) and mess up your browser's appearance.

      Yes, the same would apply to Sky Broadband Connect. You get the same router box regardless of which Sky broadband service you subscribe to, so as far as the customer is concerned there's very little difference between the services.

      In fact, if Sky install their own equipment your exchange, you'll automatically be changed over from Sky Broadband Connect to Sky Broadband Mid, but you'll probably not even notice it's happened.
