I would try the test socket first, if your line is OK and the problem is in your house then you can probably fix it yourself. Mine was just a matter of changing the wiring slightly. If you get Sky to cap you then they will be reluctant to remove the cap later even if you claim to have fixed the issue.

Also detailed stats can help to spot a problem, use the proceedure below to extract them then post them here:

Go to the utility web site: Sky Netgear DG834GT utility version 0.4 Click the “Get” detailed modem stats button and click “OK”.
Enter the router login user name and password.
At the next screen, click the back button on your browser.
      Click the “Download” netgear.cfg button.
What you do next depends on your operating system. On Windows XP, click the “Save” button to save the file to your hard disk. (If you click “Open”, you may find that the file association is one that doesn’t handle carriage returns the same way as the router, hence the reason for saying “Save”.)
Open the file in WordPad (not notepad).

Another thing to try which is easy, is to have a look behind your telephone master and extension sockets. If any have an orange/white wire connected to terminal 3 then cut or disconnect it. Its function is superceded by your ADSL filters and it can cause noise and errors.

Re: Please, Please Help. Constant Disconnections

      Hi,

I had the same problems, my connections just dropped all the time.

I replaced my netgear wirless adaptor and even had a new router delivered from Sky. The problem remained.

However, the problem appeared to be software related and was resolved after removing some spyware from my pc....

      Hope this helps..

They dont look too bad but the low speed that has negociated may be masking more errors, as above have you tried the test socket yet?

Did you reboot the router after you connected to the test socket if not give that a go.
