(P.S you need to re-boot your modem as the Att 15.5 is a known bug and is prob incorrect)

WOW, Nice stats !! (no errors, i wish i had that)

also you dont need to re-set router, your Att does not look like it would be a problem

wireless is your problem and i am not hot on the subject

i wish i had your stats, could you do a wired speed test ?

Damn! I was hoping you'd say there was a problem!!! So no ideas on the wildly fluctuating download speeds? Lows between 100-200, highs anywhere between 4500 and 5500.

I was told, perhaps unreliably, that download speeds should remain relatively constant (not 1000's of kbps apart).

So basically it's the wireless that keeps dropping? If I was wired all the time I'd get no low scores?

yea, do some tests (only reason for slower speeds would be if server is overloaded) but you should get fairly consecutive results

      Re: Advise/ ideas? Broadband speeds.

You have not rebooted your router so your 2nd stats are virtually the same as your first. Your line looks to be in excellent shape, nearly 2 days with virtually no errors on an uncapped line is as near perfect as you will get. If you are experiencing slow downloads and fluctuations in speed this is almost definitely down to using wireless. There are a few things you can do to improve wireless, but it is never going to be as reliable as a wired connection. Some tips on improving wireless reception can be found HERE. In addition to this you could try downloading and installing Netstumbler this will enable you to find the hottest spot for good reception.
