If your line is 'tagged' you will not be much better off. Try checking HERE see what it says.

Its not the fact that the line is tagged - it was untagged when we moved in, Sky attempted to get bb on the line, BT ******ed it up and now Sky don't seem to be able to get the line untagged. The cease they put on it got rejected!

I'm afraid it is, if the line was not tagged, they would be able to connect you easily and if you wanted you could move to another ISP with little difficulty.

Nope, the broadband at his old address will be sitting on the (Sky's) system preventing anything from going through - tags on the line or not. It would be quicker to go with another provider but can I ask if you've kept the same telephone number?

Sky did sucesfully ceasy my pld bb, its getting it tagged to the new phone number thats the problem. I sent a letter to the James Murdoch email and got a reply said I was tired of being lied to) so I will see if this moves them to at least tell me the truth. I will be phoning to see if the cease has been sucessful. Accoring to the link I am connected to Sky (its a lie)

I have had a look on the BT website and there is a callout on there and after speaking to BT nthey said it was to do with broadband. I then spoke to Sky who said that a tie pair split had been done but could not tell me what this was (Anyone know?) and this I should now be able to connect. But no. Now awaiting L3 to ring me back from last night to let me know whats going on. Broadband for christmas is looking bleak

Are you sure they didn't say Tie Pair Shift? that basically means changing the port you're on AFAIK...

Tie pair shift it is! I take it this means physically moving the sockets my phone / bb connection is in to ones that might work?

Re: Moving home / no phone no BB

Well well well, we finally have the Internet light on. BT must work late on Fridays. Might have to send a email back after my latest nasty email.
Anyone have any luck reclaiming their call costs & lack of bb from Sky and any tips?

      Cheers

(Internet is very slow but I'm not complaining as it can onyl get better!)
