      Mid Morning dropouts (I think?)

      HI Guys

Not posted for a while as I've had no problems to report!

But now something odd has been occurring....

Over the last couple of days I've not been able to access the net. it usually starts about 10-ish am and returns around now (11:15 am) BUT the 'i' light on the router is on all the time, and when I access the router it shows as still connected, but I cannot access the net or emails (MS Outlook) This is particularly annoying as I work from home and need to be able to retrieve emails all the time.

Anyone got any ideas as to what's going on?

      Andy707

Funny you should mention this because i had exact same thing this morning myself. If you go into router status screen and click on connection status in the Negotiation box it reads LCP is allowed to come up but when clicking connect tab this then changed to LCP is down. This is what i got this morning and was off a good hr and a half before suddenly all coming back on again.Ive done some searching and the advice i found was to check/replace filters just incase and see how that goes.I also been told its usually BT upgrading something at there exchange which would co inside with what sky said when i phoned. This dosent usually happen in the morning though i get it during evening 6pm-8pm and then it comes back on for a few hrs before goin again around 12 -2 am.This been goin on a good 4 days now from monday onwards really. However wednesday it was fine and had no problems before it started playing up again the next day.I would think its my equipment but as most of the time my internet is fine during the day and come evening it starts messin up i put it down to a exchange issue

      Thanks for the rely Mat

I must admit i had crossed my mind about BT upgrading the line or changes at the exchange, but thought it odd that it's happened two days in a row....

I'll also change the filter and a precaution too.

Re: Mid Morning dropouts (I think?)

October is a busy month for Easynet - lots of upgrades happening on the network - hopefully it won't CAUSE too many long lasting issues!

Other-half informed me that our connection went off just after 9 am this morning too - fingers crossed it is to do with the upgrade work (although my exchange is not listed in the maintainance) and not a continuation of the 'proper' service issues we had last month!!!!
