You might want to try "windows live messenger" in place of MSN, I'm using it with no problems. I had it running 7 days on Sky with no problems.

ive never had any probs with msg msger befor on me old isp its just started the day i joined sky :/

from what i can tell the data my connections asking times out after the 10th hop, and it seems to be a usa server every time

its gotta be my local exchange or somethink bts end, and im sure its not sky bb fault. the only problem i have now is i cant do any think about it. well i could tell sky but all they will say is we could get bt do a line test there end. but god knows how long that will take.

maybe they might see the fault there end 2mo. and with abit of luck when i get up later on today its all sorted

I have found HUNDREDS of posts all over the internet about worldwide messenger sign in problems over the last few days. I found this 2 day temporary fix, dated 2 days ago.

The reason I have given the detail is to show that Sky is not the likely cause of the problem. If you cannot sign on this morning, you might want to try it until this morning (US time?) to see if it does fix the problem.

      AT YOUR OWN RISK

      Sep 11 2006, 08:06 PM)
ok here is the temporary fix:

      Open with Notepad: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts

Add these 2 lines to the bottom:

      65.54.239.80 messenger.hotmail.com
      65.54.239.80 dp.msnmessenger.akadns.net

      Save it and restart WLM

Make sure you remove it in say 2 days as those servers are temporary until they get the other servers up and running again.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
