We had a thunderstorm last night.
This morning I could hardly access anything (incl Messenger) until I did a mains reset of my router. 3 minutes later A OK.

      (not on sky - yet)

Sorry the mains reset didn't help.

      These are my details :

      IP Address 90.194.5.xxx
      Network Type PPPoA
      IP Subnet Mask 255.255.255.255
      Gateway IP Address 82.108.11.83
      Domain Name Server 87.86.189.16

Don't know if it's worth setting DMZ on your router to the IP of one of your PCs as an experiment. At least that PC may then work. Worth a try.

dont set the dmz to an ip on your computer, this really isnt necessary, and a bad option to do.

Ok, Im assuming that you had a previous broadband supplier, and a previous router.

With the above assumption I suggest you try the followin :-

      1) disconnect all pcs from the network except one.

      2) set the NIC on that pc to Auto/DHCP

      3) disable any software firewall on that machine

      4) now try and connect to those sites you mentioned such as MSN

Let me know how you get on

there is definitely a problem with MSN messenger external to Sky

Too many people reporting it on ADSLG and my own connection to MSN has been on and off for 3 days or so. And i aint even on Sky yet
