      Sky BB not working

Hi, After 8 months of calls I finally got my Sky BB working, but only for 2 days then no internet light again. Oddly my laptop says it is connected to the router and gives speeds etc, however if you try to access a web page nothing happens. I am waiting for a teir 3 response, and phoning sky gets no response other than tier 3 will respond, I could scream, its soooo annoying. Anyone got an idea of whats up?

The PC will be able to connect to the router, but it is not the router which connects to the internet. The box used to connect to the Internet is called a router, but this is not strictly correct. The part that connects to the internet is the modem, which connects to the router internally, which then distributes the signal to the PC.

Have you tried doing a test, if so what is the error? Are you getting an IP? What lights are on on the router?

If the system has an open Tier 3 ticket or it has been escalated to Tier 3 then that is the answer you will get. There is no point in the CS person trying to troubleshoot it further as it is awaiting T3 testing and it would be a waste of time. All they can do is advise you that Tier 3 will be looking into it and contacting you about it if needed. If you are real lucky the T3 queue may no be more than 2 minutes when you call in which case you can be put through to them.
