Question about Sky BB and changing

Ive had enough of the slow speeds and lack of support from Sky with looking into it so i'm considering leaving them. My question is, if i drop my sky bb down to the basic free package and then go to another provider and sign up can sky charge me ? normally you would have to pay for the remainder of the 12 month contract but if its free then what happens?

      Thanks

I don't think you can drop down to a 'Basic' package from Mid or Max. You agreed to a 12 month contract when you signed up and you will not be able to change until it is up. The only other way you can get out of it is if your connection speed is very low, somewhere below 512 kb, not sure exactly what the speed is.

When and if you leave, concider Be unlimited, (if they are in your exchange) I get downloads speeds of between 15 & 16meg constant, they have emailed this morning to say that the 24meg service im on is coming down to 18.00 instead of the 24.00 a month that I have been paying, hows that for service, I have only ever needed to contact their customer services twice, and have been sorted out before I have even put the phone down

Did you sign up before 24th August? if so you can cancel with no penalties due to a change in the terms and conditions.
