Re: still no sign of the router...

It's very unlikely to arrive this late in the day. Most courier company customers are businesses, and it would make no sense to be sending delivery vans out at around this time. The latest I've ever had anything delivered by any courier is about 4pm.

Is there something odd about your address? You said you live in a flat - are there clear markings, visible from the street, saying where your frontdoor is? I know it seems like a daft question, but the Royal Mail postman will typically know all the address odities in a delivery area, but a Parcelforce deliveryman might not.

Bit of a nOObish question, but where did you get details of delivery date from, and where do you track them?

Larger Lout, Sky Broadband provisioning are the people you want.
Ask them for your Consignment ID, As that is what is used both by Sky and ParcelForce to track it down.

Malibucaz, The latest we have had anything delivered by ParcelForce was at 6pm, So I guess its been passed that and passed Sky's reccomended.
But like Jewkesy says there is still time. The driver hasnt got back to the Depo either as he would have had scanned what wasnt delivered and the Online Tracker would have been updated.

Re: still no sign of the router...

well i finally got through to someone on the phone after i saw on the tracking that there was an attempted delivery.

i explained to them i had been in all day waiting for my parcel to come and it hasnt and that the website says they attempted to deliver it i told them to put a note on for the driver that he has to ring my buzzer or door bell or he wont get me unless he knocks loudish i also said they were to leave it with someone else if they cant do that. i was told they would not deliver to me again tonight ands i have to wait till monday. they asked if i was left a card which i wasnt AGAIN and she cant understand why as the delivery drivery doesnt get paid unless he delivers the parcels...

they will be getting the driver to call me monday also ....

i am not sure weather to complain or not as i think this is beyond a joke now surely they would know to ring the buzzer or they wont get into the building when its a big huge thing on the door and gives simple instructions on what to do!

im so frustrated now i just want my broadband in

Re: still no sign of the router...

In all honesty, given that they failed to deliver either the router or the "sorry you were out" card twice, it strikes me that it would have been much, much better to pick it up from their depot (if getting into Ipswich isn't too much trouble), or arrange for it to be delivered to the local post office.

And Parcelforce aren't going to not pay a driver because he had trouble delivering a single parcel, although they might if he didn't deliver any parcels. So clearly he's having some kind of specific problem delivering it to your address - it might be that the address on the label has been badly printed or something, who knows?

Aren't parcel force on strike with the rest of Royal Mail?
