      A problem with phone and broadband

      Hi All,

      Everytime the phone rings or we ring out my internet connection seems to die. Although what is strange is that the Wireless internet connetion icon still says connected with a signal strenght of excellant.

      Its just that internet browsers dont load any pages and programs such as windows messanger and download clients also disconnect.

      Please help me!!

      i assume you have filters on all sockets in use in ur house? if not, a phone ringing will disconnect ur BB everytime u pick it up/put it down...

      Hi Thanks for your reply,

      I have filters in on all phone sockets in the house. In one of the sockets only the phone gets plugged in, is this correct?

      Every socket which has something plugged into it has to have a filter. It doesn't matter whether you then have just the router plugged into the filter, or just a phone, or both. Don't forget your Sky box - that has to go through a filter too.
