BT don't cap you, they throttle you, i.e., they actually limit the rate between the exchange and Easynet's network (and from there on to the Internet), they don't limit the speed at which your router syncs with the exchange. You're no more or less likely to be getting a reliable connection from a Connect service than you are from a Mid service.
but if connect throttle you on connect and sky do not, you still sync the same but get more from sky because they do not throttle ??

Not sure what you mean by this, but BT are thought to throttle bandwidth guzzling applications like torrents, P2P etc. They do not throttle normal http traffic. In some cases ISPs using BT will also throttle this kind of heavy traffic, Plusnet for example. Sky don't as far as I know, either on Connect or LLU. Apart from this, I don't think this has anything to do with the OP problem, as he is not on Connect.

Re: Sky Netgear DG834GT dropping BB

must be the way i read the threads, i did think that people who had been on connect seemed to be asking on the forum about there speeds and had been told that teir 2 needed to contact BT about speeds, as the above poster had moved from connect to mid i thought this may have had something to do with his connection now dropping. but as yourself and james have pointed out bt do not do this i stand corrected
