Running quite happily, only after some simple monitoring so shows the connection and brings the stats up direct when clicked.

LOL !! Take that back, just rebooted the original router !! Will leave it off !!

Re: New Activation - Connection Dropping

Using my own Netgear DG834GT router with the latest netgear firmware my connection hasn't budged in over 24 hours !! Haven't got close to that with the sky version of the router. Stats below and I will continue to monitor !!

I just don't see what benefit Sky see in locking out router and firmware, they are just causing a lot of the issues themselves.

Re: New Activation - Connection Dropping

its purely for a T/S POV - if u imagine having to support every type of router on the market there'd be FAR too many calls to answer and training costs would be huge!!!

i can agree with the call for having those who want to use the Sky one and those who just want the logins but once the Sky FW is updated everything should be resolved...

Re: New Activation - Connection Dropping

Done all my final testing now. Tried plugging into the test socket and the speed was the same, so happy my wiring is up to scratch.

Plugged the sky router back in too to see if it can get a little more stable. Would hate to miss out on a new firmware if there is one just around the corner.

Speed is almost what I was expecting so 95% happy with the move to sky. Will give them a chance to fix the router though.
