The new conditions can be found here-

Sky Broadband is getting even better…

I think the main change is the fact that your/our details can be transferred outside the EU, mainly to USA, but including India and the Philippines, due no doubt to the Google tie-up. There may be other changes. This information was contained in an email dated 6.9.07.

Hmm Well my broadband is still active, still shows in my sky online and so far no orders showing against my BT line with regards to removing broadband from the line!

      Is this normal?

Is there anything 'normal' where Sky are concerned? I don't think you will be disconnected until you receive a letter confirming the cut-off date. Have you confirmed your wish to depart in writing/email? You should know that everything you hear on the phone is not necessary true. I would send written confirmation, quoting the phone call, the time/date and the operatives name, if you got it.

Its a known problem - ceases aren't always done on Skys systems; some people can be waiting months. I'd ring them just to check you're not being charged.

      Re: Cancelling Sky Broadband

Thanks for your advice and tips, I just called them on 08705 515 515 and spoke to a CST and I asked what was the status with my BB. I told him I called last week wishing to cancel etc...

Anyway he confirmed it is pending disconnection and that they received notice to cancel on the 28th Sept 2007 at five to two!

So at least I know they have it on their system, I will call BT soon and give seven days notice to close my BT line down so BB will be removed one way or another!

Maybe I would be better off getting BT to disconnect the line at the end of the month that way sky will have been given notice and they will have had thirty days or more to disconnect so there will be no come backs?
