Not really without being in your flat!!

The problem is down to your internal wiring which is why you need to find the main socket and disconnect any extensions that are attached to it (either on the outside of the socket or on the inside of the socket).

Normally the master socket would be by an entrance or outside wall.

How are all the various sockets connected (internal wall cabling or by visible extension cabling).

All the phone sockets look the same, they look square, kind of like this (hope that worked!) And theres one in each bedroom, one in a hallway and one in the kitchen..... they are wallsockets to answer your question!

Well the easy solution is to pay BT to come out and install you a proper master socket, but that costs money.

Try the router in each socket and see if this makes a difference. It may, but it all depends on how the wiring behind the walls links all the sockets together.

I;m confident your porbs are down to the internal wiring of your flat and nothing to do with Sky.

As I say, paying BT would be the easy (but costly) option.

Someone else may be able to offer more advice on what to do when you don't have a new style master socket.

OK ive just noticed that only one of the sockets appears to have "BT" on it, the others are all just plain white. Could this be the master socket?

If it isnt, where do I go from here? Call Sky or BT?

I would say that's the one.

If you take the front off, is there extension cabling connected as well as the main wiring? If so disconnect this extra wiring and then plug a filter and router into the socket.

As I have mentioned quite a few times. ITS NOWT TO DO WITH SKY. Your router is getting the full 16Mb, so it is your internal wiring that is causing the problems.
