      Easy-Install Cd

Go on guys, tell me what I'm missing if I don't install the Sky easy-install CD?

I'm not worried about ie6 or ie7 as I hate them and use Firefox, not particularily bothered about McAfee as I use the free Avast Home Edition. I see there is a DG834 Recovery Utility? Is that something I might need?

I just refuse to load ISP branded anything if at all possible as they seem to take over ones PC.

      In a word, Nothing.

The utility you mention is only for use in emergencies. eg If Sky try to upgrade you firmware on line and it fails, you will need it to bring your router back to life.

      Re: Easy-Install Cd

Running the CD basically takes you through all the steps to get started. ie plug filters in, plug cable from filter into router , plug cable from router into computer, plug router in ect. Then at the end it tests to see if it works and tells you if not.
