    1am every night

      1am every night

      has anyone noticed at around 1am every night, sky BB just disconnects and reconnects? I have no other problems during the day or night at all, be it if im downloading something or not - every night around that time sky BB just disconnects.

      why?

      it doesn't disconnect with me, my bb don't disconnect frequently anymore it is working fine mine used to disconnect frequently every 10-40 mins but not at certains times so i don't know what the problem is

      Thanks. its no big deal at all, it disconnects for a minute at that time then back online. just curious to know why at that time every night

      It happens to every at 1am (12am when the clocks change). It's mainly noticeable if you have messenger running as you'll see it go off-line and log back in. It is only literally 1 or 2 secs.

      I believe the MSN midnight disconnection bug has been fixed in the new firmware due for release soon.

      I used to lose my AIM connection every night at 1am. I solved that by changing the port it uses to 443. Not sure if you can do that with MSN.

      When this used to happen, it didn't actually drop the internet connection though. Not sure if it makes any difference, but I also have "Respond to Ping on Internet WAN Port" un-ticked (which is in the Router settings on the WAN Settings page (under Advanced).

      its a known bug and as saturday says there is a new firmware update being worked on by sky which apparently sorts this and some other problems [on the mark 1 router ]although i'm not sure when or even if sky are going to release it
