      What next?

      Hi all,

First post so be gentle please!

Right, here are the facts...I've just been connected on sky connect while awaiting LLU at my exchange. I'm connected over a wired ethernet connection to the router.

The router is connected directly to the test socket on the master phone socket with no other devices connected anywhere else in the house.

I've checked every phone socket in the house and disconnected the ringer on
connection 3 on them all so i now have only 2 and 5 connected everywhere.

My "connection speeds" are apparently 8128 kbps d/l and 448 kbps u/l yet the

      speedtests i've done on speedtest.net are all coming back at about 1940 kb/s d/l and 382 kb/s u/l, +/- 5/6 kb/s.

Any ideas what i should be checking next?

      Cheers,

No major problems with the Stats although they weren't over a long period of time, have you tried TCP Optimizer SpeedGuide.net :: TCP Optimizer / Downloads ?

      Re: What next?

Yeah, tried the optimizer with no difference in either u/l or d/l speeds. Still hovering around the 1940 kb/s 382 kb/s mark.

Thanks for the quick response though.
