      Yeah, especially with your speed in that first screenshot being pretty much spot on your sync speed, could be that speedtest is jsut having problems, could try tomorrow or something, during off peak times and see what happens.

      That's still well below what you'd be expecting to get really. I think speedtest.net are just have a bad day. Or a bad week. I can't really tell because as you can see from my sig, I'm having connection problems...

      Not really. He was testing on two different machines. The comparison is meaningless:apples and pears.

      Re: Slow connection? see if your really have here

      @Liam22

      There are four main reasons for slow throughput compared to the sync rate:
      • a slow test server
      • gross line errors
      • a poor wireless connection
      • incorrect TCP/IP settings

      More than one can apply.

      If you want meaningful feedback on your connection you need to:
      • run TCPOptimizer on the PC/laptop
      • run the tests on the same machines on the same connection
      • run the tests wired
      • use a reliable server such as this one

      If all is well than you can expect a download speed of ~80% of your downstream sync speed (the shortfall is due to transmission overheads). If you're not getting ~80% then look to see if there are high levels of errors in your router stats.
