      Improving results?

      Hi again guys.

This isnt desperately urgent, but after browsing around here and seeing what other people get, its left me wondering if what I have is the best it can be, or if it can be bettered at all.

Im on Mid at the moment, wondering if the move to max would be good or not... here are my results from the router:-

      System Up Time 108:56:18
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 49016 71274 0 99 1059 22:38:13
      LAN 10M/100M 31769 0 0 17 0 108:56:16
      WLAN 11M/54M 1882352 1698878 0 4856 3039 108:56:06

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3584 kbps 416 kbps
Line Attenuation 58.0 db 31.5 db
Noise Margin 5.4 db 13.0 db

Ive seen other users post more detailed results, but not sure how you get those so hopefully this is enough, but if not please let me know.

      Thanks

      Tony

      Re: Improving results?

      SNR (dB): 5.1 13.0
      Attn(dB): 58.0 31.5
      Pwr(dBm): 18.8 0.9
      Max(Kbps): 3904 1152
      Rate (Kbps): 3584 416
SNR is getting lower, this does happen during "peak" times (but most people lose connection when under 6)

the first port of call would be to use the test socket (behind master socket face plate)
i would think you are using an extention at the moment ?
you also have a lot of errors which may be caused by your wiring, using the test socket will confirm if internal wiring is the prob
