      Connection keeps dropping!!!

      Hello all. Firstly Im really glad I stumbled across this site.. There is lots of really useful info here but im pulling my hair out at this stage. Ive recently got Sky in after moving to a new flat.. I have a wireless connection with my pc. I have a belkin usb wireless adapter to get the connection.. The problem is every 10-15 seconds the sky connection seem to drop for a couple of seconds and Im not sure what to do... I have the max option too... Here are my stats.. Any help greatly appreciated..

      Have you turned off the UPnP? One of the biggest causes of disconnections.

      Your stats are fine so it is unlikely that a line problem is causing the disconnections.

      As NewsreadeR says, UPnP is a common cause of disconnections though this tends to be every 15 minutes rather than every 15 seconds.

      I think your problem is probably down to a very poor wireless signal. See the wireless forum for ideas on how to improve this. Also, consider running wired as a test to confirm that wireless is to blame. In any event, wired is always going to give the better connection, not just stability but speed.
