      819 hours permanent connection but then.....

      Yes I was going for a record, 819 hours without a break in my connection but then I decided to use the interactive services on my HD box to check my bill and it all went wrong from then on. ( maybe coincidently but I don't think so) Now my connection drops after 15 minutes if I'm lucky. The HD box is on a micro filter as well so I can't see why there is a problem. Numerous resets, reboots by button or Netgear page later and still suffering??? The most annoying thing is that I NEVER normally use interactive for anything...ever.

      Any suggestions welcome

      Have you tried disconnecting the HD box from the phone? It is just possible that a fault in the internal modem is effecting your broadband connection.

      Yeah, first I put another microfilter between the HD box and the socket but now I have totally disconnected it, still the same, just seems strange that I had no problems for over 800 hours and then one incident and away it goes, unless it is coincidental and it is a router problem?

      You know what it's like calling CS, this will take forever to resolve this.
      They don't put you through to Tier 3 straight away and it's not an exchange problem so they really have to speak with you to determine a router fault, so here we go on a long unpleasant journey
