It may be advisable to phone your existing ISP and make sure that your service is not discontinued, but carried on in a month to month basis.

If you still have a dial-up modem, it would be a good idea to open a PAYG account with an ISP who provide them. Plusnet do this, with no set up cost, you pay only for the phone calls on a national rate number. I know this is not ideal, but it is better than nothing, should things really go pear shaped with your broadband.
