      Unhappy Daily re-setting the router

I have looked through this site to solve this problem and made numerous calls to Sky to try and resolve it, so I hope someone can help.

Every morning when I go to surf the net I cannot connect to the internet without having to reset my router.

I can connect my laptop to the router wirelessly as the icon on the tool bar is blinking. All the lights are on on the router but I cannot access a web page.
This is also the same when I used the network cable.

Once I restart the router, it works perfectly again. However, I do a lot of uploading to an FTP site and need a stable IP address to access their firewall. Re-booting my router everyday assigns and new IP address which is not ideal as I have to update the firewall on a daily basis.

I am sure I don't need to reboot my router every day. Could it be the router which is faulty or is there a setting I can change?

I have de-selected the UPnP and the only phone line I have in my house has a filter on it.

      Any ideas??

      Re: Daily re-setting the router

there are a few errors on the line, i am no expert on this but your stats say you are on "Fast" which could account for the errors (i thought mid was interleave which is a little more forgiving)

not sure if router is a bit wrong or if i am just reading it wrong, best to hang on and wait for someone a little more experianced to have a look,

post a little reminder later as a lot of people seem to be uable to log on at the moment
