i thought VM is cable not phone wire ?

what now are you trying to get ? (speed / connection / ect )

why do you want to be capped
Virgin net is phone line, Ntl is cable - When they merged to Virgin Media they support both. LOL I dont want to be capped if you read carefully someone posted that I 'am' capped.

My issue was of an evening and sometimes during they day the internet runs so slow I am unable to web browse - Wired was no different. Its running a bit better now after about 3 reconnects

Hi, Just 2 stabs in the dark.

Firstly turn off UPNP in the router settings ( 192.168.0.1 ) and also change your router channel as saturday said to 11 or something and see if that helps your wireless connection. And make sure your wireless signal is good at the very least.

      Regards

      Ian

      Thanks,

It already on 11 and UPNP is off at the moment its only on when using Azureus when im ebook hunting (which isn't often).

I changed it to 11 last night and I found it happens less often but it still happens often enough to be extremly annoying. Dare i say so far we regret leaving Virgin O.o

      Ok, good.

Does your wirless signal always say excellent ? or does it drop to red When this problem occurs.?

      Ian

I have to say that i always have upnp turned on and my signal is good enough all over my house so i have not had a problem with my router, Hence dont rule out you have a dodgy router.
