      Re: McAfee Problem

When did you last run a virus scan?

Pretty much every occasion i have had the "you are not protected" problem it has been down to me not running a virus scan in the last 30 days

Try that and see whether it lets you sort it out

      cheers

      Re: McAfee Problem

I woudn't bother with McAfee. I've heard about problems removing it on another forum. It missed umpteen Trojans too. Wouldn't touch it myself.

      Re: McAfee Problem

I used AOL's free McAfee firewall for a little while until started chucking out the error:

"Cannot start as it can't find blah blah file in blah blah"

      or something like that.

I uninstalled and reinstalled good ol' Zonealarm, hell knows why I changed though. I now use on my pc Avast Antivirus and down stairs has Norton (will be changing to Avast as well. The reason for this is because Norton uses too many resources. Also debating on moving to Comodo Firewall as again, it uses less resources than Zonealarm.
