      Still, better than nothing!

      So, what about these other terminals, will noise from these (despite none of them being attached to anything) not cause issues with my connection? Essentially the EM from around my entire house is being routed right back to the phone socket Im using to connect to.. Is this a normal setup?

      Max(Kbps): 6080 1184
      Rate (Kbps): 5504 768

      compared with..

      Max(Kbps): 4224 1152
      Rate (Kbps): 3776 768

      Thanks for the advice above btw, extremely appreciated!
      Telephone wire is always 4 or 6 core twisted pair so there is always wires hanging arround doing nothing but they only seem to cause problems when they are connected. I think they act like aerials picking up all manor of interference. Now reboot your router and keep a close eye on your CRC errors, they are the most likely cause of your instability. In an ideal world they shouldn't exceed 0.1% of the SF "Superframes" transmitted.

      Previous 15 minutes time = 15 min 0 sec
      SF = 52931
      CRC = 114
      LOS = 59
      LOF = 0
      ES = 5

      So from above they shouldn't have exceeded 52, but that was only 7 minutes worth my guess is they were getting alot higher than that over a period of time.

      My girlfriend tells me that the ADSL has been restarting over the day, but as I didn't have Mossywells application running at the time it wasn't rebooting the router.. meaning I have a nice big chunk of stats!

      The CRC's do seem high, are the causes mainly internal?
