    Router slows then line drops

      Router slows then line drops

      My router will stay connected for approx 15-18 minutes then my connection seems to slow down and stop. If you click on the icon of the two pc,s (bottom right side) on the tool bar the clock time will have stopped and the x will have dropped to zero. To get going again I have to restart the router, I have contacted Sky's help line, they dropped my connection speed from 3.9 to 2.4mbs saying it was runing to fast, this has fixed nothing. Can anybody assist as I am fed up of switching off and on every 15minutes.

      Hi ESK,

      have a look in the tools &tutorials, you shouls be able to find some help

      (also check you are plugged into the master soket as extentions can be the problem most times)

      I don't understand your comment on the Clock Time or the x?

      Log onto your router and scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the show statistics button.
      http://192.168.0.1/start.htm

      User admin, password sky

      Then post the results.

      @ESK

      The problem you describe is a classic symptom of the UPnP "bug". You need to turn it off in the router. Why Sky T1 haven't been told this is beyond me.
