      Smile Activation

Bit new at this game so be gentle with me! I registered my interest for Sky broadband on the first day it was available. I received an email confirming this and letting me know that they would be in contact soon.

Since then, I haven't heard anymore. I have been reading posts on this forum sugggesting that people are registering and then getting broadband activated soon after.

I know that my exchange can support all the broadband packages.

I am starting to think that Sky have forgotten about me - what do you think?

It's possible. A lot of people who signed up on day 1, me included, had their details lost. I waited 6 weeks before phoning and getting an order there and then.

      Yes register again, definately.
I registered about four times before I received a BAND code.
It won't do any harm anyway.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

I spoke to Customer Services through the 0800 no. displayed in these forums. Complained, asked to speak to a mgr and he generated a URN reference no. for me on the spot. [I had also registered on multiple occasion since launch day]
You can then chose the Ordering option on the same phone no, give them the URN reference and the activation process begins
