      Just about to order but...

First of all, hey, first post here, nice forum, lots of info that has helpedme make the choice to move to Sky BB.

Anyway, was just about to sign up, and i noticed the "If you order before 30th September there will be a 30 setup charge" Is this with max too? If so, why are sky doing this? I dont want to wait until next month to order as my current isp (orange) is pretty much unusable most of the time.

Also, i tried to search for anything related, but didnt find anything of much use, and also if thi is in the wrong section then sorry, please move it

      Thanks in advance.

If you wait there is a good chance it will go up, not down. Max was free at one point, but no longer is.

The 30 signup is here until at least 30th Spetember, depends how long you want to wait.

Re: Just about to order but...

      Hi

Sky did the 30.00 offer with an expiry of 14th September and then extended it until 30th September. They may drop it or may extend it, its called incentives and all about getting extra customers.

Most ISP's charge a signup fee although disguise it as a yearly contract sign up.

It costs roughly 47.00 payable to BT for doing the work in the exchange etc. Sky are only charging 30.00 so to a degree are standing 17.00

If you disagree with the 30.00 I can understand, but you would save that with a couple of months of being on Sky against staying on your old ISP.

You think ORANGE broadband is bad, wait till you got sky!

Trust me I would avoid sky like the plaige when it comes to broadband because if your one of the many who get problems then it's going to be 12 months of pure hell!

Sky's BB technical line is the pits, it's worse than NTL and my GOD that took some beating!

      Just my opinion!
