      Todays the Day!

Well todays the day...or will it be. Am currently in a q to find out when the engineer who was supposed to have called me will call. I opted for the engineer thinking that they'd be more clued up than me when it came to chasing stuff in Sky or BT. Turns out its a sub contracting company called Custom Advertising Ltd with a american accented call waiting system.
Call me a pessimist but I've got a bad feeling about all of this.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      Fallen at the First

Ooops..thats it I'm out retired hurt! I finally got through to the sub contractors and was told " Sorry, we were going to phone you but a lot of our technicians have phoned in sick and we can't get to you today...how does Friday sound?".

I expressed my increduality and then common sense and rising telephone bills told me to call it a day. I must admit that some of the posts recently about service dropouts and the pretty much non existant e-mail facility had got me worried and this was the final straw.

I phoned Sky on the 0800 number and cancelled. I was put on hold as Annie Brion had predicted but was actually told that the contract had been cancelled. Worringly no reference was given nor available. She told me that monies paid would be refunded (which is strange as I'd signed up for max which doesn't have any sign up or activation fee).

Ah well, now I'll have to eat humble pie as I talk to BT again about my need for a new home hub.

I'll keep popping in here to see how things are going from time to time as the forum has taught me quite a few things already. Good luck to the rest of you and be warned.
