      Changing from Max to Mid

      Hi

I was wondering what phone number to call to change from my current package from max to mid. I've been with Sky for 8 Days now, is it still possible to change?

Here are my stats incase anyone is interested, and if there was a way to increase my current speed, I may stay with the Max Package.

Re: Changing from Max to Mid

      ADSL2+ Speed Test
We estimate your line is capable of between 8mb to 9mb broadband on an ADSL2+ service.
As you already have 8mb, then I don't think you are going to get any higher

Changing to Mid will give you a 40gb cap and Up to 400Kb upload, against No defined cap, and up to 768kb upload. If these are not important to you then it may be an idea to try and change.

Will they do it? There's only one way to find out.

      Thanks for the reply!

Yeah I think I will try and change to Mid. 40GB cap doesn't concern me that much at all. I'll try phoning this number 08705 515 515 and see what I get.

I just tried ringing that number, but I'm getting no response after I've entered my phone number.

Re: Changing from Max to Mid

Try again later, but I think there is a good chance that it will be disabled. Most numbers, not of the 0870 variety, that are posted on the forum, end up disabled.

Re: Changing from Max to Mid

Wow I just phoned sky up and I have to say from the things I have read here, it wasn't so bad after all. Took roughly 2 mins and I'm on the Mid package now, but she said I will be charged for the first month on the max package which is 10, but after that it will be 5.

Lets hope nothing goes wrong from now on.

Remember to check your account, Sky seem good at telling you one thing then doing another. You are on Connect though.

You mean to say I'm not on Mid?

I've just logged onto my Sky account it clearly says I'm on Mid, so I'll wait for the bill next month before I take any action.

I think you mean't Mid? To go on Connect would have mean't BT visiting the Exchange.
